What system does ÖBB use to prevent fraud in case of card theft or loss?

We offer you a 100% secure purchase without any possibility of fraud and all confidential data is encrypted.

If your card is VISA or MASTERCARD it will be validated through secure online shopping systems such as Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code.

These systems are offered by your bank's card, allowing to verify the cardholder's identity as a preliminary step to the transaction amount.

This prevents fraudulent use in case of theft or loss of the card.
