It is possible to travel with your dog or cat on most ÖBB trains following the next conditions:

• Small and harmless animals: can be transported for free in appropriate transport containers. 
• Dogs that do not fit in a cage/container: you must pay a pet fare by contacting us through the contact form.
• Assistance dogs with a disability certificate: can travel for free on the train.

In the case of ÖBB Nightjet you can only bring your dog on the if you reserve an entire compartment.

On the train, you can pay for your dog's ticket. Assistance dogs travel for free and do not need to be muzzled. For journeys within Austria, ÖBB fare conditions apply.
